The firm’s Sport and Resort projects range from creating new stadiums and sports complexes, to renovating areas of existing facilities. hoffman architects has completed multiple projects at the Canyons Resort Golf Course for Park City Mountain Resort including the Golf Shop, Golf Maintenance Building, Golf Course Comfort Stations, Golf Cart Storage Building, Golf Course Pump Stations, and resort maintenance facility located on hole one of the golf course.
Sports projects are unique because of the understanding of how the user experience drives revenue as well as the public’s perception of the facility. Key to this understanding is how facility users and maintenance personnel need to interact. Other sports projects completed by the firm include Seaman Stadium & Field House home of the Okotoks Dawgs located south of Calgary Alberta and the PAC-12 conference Softball Stadium at the University of Utah

Founded by Hans Hoffman in 2006 in Park City, Utah, the firm strives to enhance the sense of place for each project while addressing the functional requirements with cost effective solutions. The projects undertaken by the firm are Principal-Based. Principal-Based Management utilizes the firm’s principal as the leader of the project team. From the first kick-off meeting, through design and documentation, to certificate of occupancy, and the final punch list, the principal is actively involved in leading the team. At hoffman architects, the principal-based approach is critical to the success of our client’s projects success.
The firm is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and a member of Architecture 2030, a non-profit organization dedicated to achieving a dramatic reduction in the global-warming-causing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of the Building Sector by changing the way buildings and developments are planned, designed and constructed.
Mr. Hoffman’s credentials includes previously serving as Chair of the State of Utah Architects Licensing Board for two years, is a LEED accredited professional with the United States Green Building Council, registered with the National Council Architectural Registration Board (NCARB), and registered with the Canadian Architectural Registration Board (CACB).
